Cermaq Group søker Feed Data Analyst

Would you thrive on analyzing complex salmon feed data and turn this into valuable insights for salmon farming? If so, you might be the right person to join our Feed and Fish Health Innovation Team at Cermaq’s head office in Oslo!

We are now looking to strengthen the team with a Feed Data Analyst that has a relevant degree (Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Nutrition/Aquaculture, or similar) and experience working with large datasets and data structures, ideally using Power BI, Excel, or other BI tools.

The new colleague we seek is analytical and structured, enjoys working with numbers and larger datasets, and is motivated by turning complex information into clear insight and presenting it to support well-founded decision-making.

What’s the job mainly about?

Data Analysis, Reporting & Tools for Salmon Feed and Farming

  • Analyze feed pricing, cost structures, and sourcing data across global operations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and cost models (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to support feed strategy, procurement, and sustainability goals.
  • Support scenario analyses and strategic projects related to salmon feed development, raw materials, and cost forecasting.
  • Use BI tools such as Power BI,Excel and statistical software to manage large datasets and deliver clear insights.
  • Support the development of new data tools and models for feed-related work.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with Group functions, operating companies, and suppliers to strengthen data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Global Feed and Nutrition Manager to follow up on raw material trends, supplier data, fish performance, and internal cost drivers.
  • Contribute to improved data quality and more efficient reporting processes within the feed area.
  • Being a key member of the Global Feed team.
  • Good communication skills– able to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and support the Global Feed and local feed technical teams.
  • Our cooperation with the different operating companies requires some flexibility due to the different time zones.
  • Support operating companies with a collaborative, open-minded approach that builds trust and drives continuous improvement.
  • You are a team player who works well with colleagues from different culture, and professional backgrounds.

The Team & Everyday Work

As Feed Data Analyst you will be part of and an important contributor to the Feed and Fish Health Innovation Team where our Global Feed and Nutrition Manager will be your leader.

You will mainly manage your own working day. Many of your tasks will need more independent work, but you will also collaborate with experts in feed/nutrition, production, data analysis, and working with colleagues across countries and functions.

As we are based in Oslo (Norway) but are lucky enough to collaborate with people from different parts of the world, you are fluent in English. Spanish or Norwegian are a plus, but not mandatory.

Depending on requirements, some domestic or international travel may be required.

Does this sound like a job where you would thrive as well as our fish?

Writing an application letter can be challenging, so here are key points we’d like to know about you apart from a short introduction on who you are:

  • Describe a time you used data to drive improvement or support decision-making. Give an example of how you ensured effective communication of this information.
  • Share an example of cross-functional collaboration and how you contributed to a project’s success.

Some practical information

  • Recruitment process: As the Christmas holidays are approaching, we will review applications when we are back in January. If moving on from the screening, the next step will be a short introduction where we get to know each other a bit better, and you get more information about the process moving on.
  • Application deadline: 09/01/2026
  • Startup: The position is new and open as we speak, so we must admit that we would like the right candidate to join us as soon as possible. Having said that, we are relatively flexible when it comes to the start date.
